The  Collad technique  was exclusively developed by Dr. José Cury and is a method of liposuction that offers 360° results.

The COLLAD method  is nothing more than the association of the words collagen (collagen in English) and  LAD  (High Definition Liposuction). It consists of removing localized fat from the regions of the upper and lower abdomen, flanks, back, arms, quadriceps and between thighs, in a way that highlights the natural lines and contours of the body, giving a “healed” appearance. In many cases, fat grafting is also performed on the buttocks.

Associated with the surgery, sagging and cellulite treatment is carried out in all areas of the body that bother the patient. Among the benefits is a significant improvement in skin quality.

It is worth noting that this technique has already been used on some celebrities such as Maluzinha, Sunaika Bruna and Sheila Matos.

How did the Collad Technique come about?

The  method  emerged a few years ago, observing the patients treated, many of whom were satisfied with the surgical procedure performed, but were dissatisfied with their cellulite and sagging skin. From this, some research was started to find a solution, and that was when the  COLLAD  technique was developed.

How is the COLLAD procedure performed?

High definition Liposuction surgery  (Lipo Lad) , for example, is performed and then a collagen bath is performed to treat cellulite and sagging. Depending on the amount of product to be used, it is possible to slightly increase the volume of the buttocks, in addition to the gluteal graft, which is performed with fat grafts.

Afterwards, mechanical stimulation is performed using the  InMode platform , using  Morpheus and Bodytite .

Morpheus consists of a tip with 40 needles that enter the system called Burst in three layers of the skin, associated with microneedling up to 7mm deep and radiofrequency triggering. These three-layer radiofrequency shots stimulate collagen production in the region and improve skin texture.

Bodytite is used in areas where liposuction was performed, promoting skin retraction. Through this device, tissue temperatures of 70 degrees Celsius can be reached, with a safety thermometer on the top that allows control of the external temperature on the skin, where we can program temperatures from 38 to 40 degrees Celsius, which which allows for greater safety, thus avoiding skin burns.

When it comes to chemical stimuli, we use collagen stimulators, which are distributed in all sagging areas to improve the texture and firmness of the skin. We use the two main biostimulators on the market (calcium hydroxyapatite and poly-L-lactic acid).

How long will it take to see the result?

The peak result occurs three months after its application, and it is also possible to associate with bio-stimulators, subcisions in cellulite areas, which are depressions in the skin.

With subcision, it is possible to loosen the adhesion of cellulite and deposit collagen bio-stimulators just below them, in order to improve the appearance of cellulite and also the quality of the skin. Given the association of both techniques, we treated the patients’ main complaints.

How long does the procedure last?

The procedure takes an average of 6 to 8 hours and, it is important to highlight that for a satisfactory result, the first shots will be used in the surgery and then two more sessions in the office will be necessary. Collagen stimulators should be performed between 18 and 24 months.
