What is BLEPHAROPLASTY?

Blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid surgery, aims to rejuvenate the eyelids by removing excess skin, muscle and, in some cases, fat. This procedure helps combat signs of aging around the eyes, such as wrinkles, sagging and bags, promoting a more youthful and vibrant appearance. How is BLEPHAROPLASTY performed?

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia with sedation. Dr. José Cury makes discreet incisions in the natural folds of the upper eyelids and just below the eyelashes on the lower eyelids. Through these incisions, excess skin, muscle and fat are removed. In specific cases, the fat can be repositioned to smooth out bags under the eyes.
